Longevity
Longevity means maintaining the ability to preserve energy and quality of life throughout one’s entire existence. Often, in fact, our chronological age does not coincide with our biological age: lifestyle, stress, sleep, diet and level of physical activity can accelerate or slow down the ageing process.
A pillar of long-term health is neuromuscular function, and preserving these abilities means protecting what really matters in everyday life. At the same time, it is also a concrete way to prevent or delay many age-related conditions, such as frailty, loss of muscle mass, instability and reduced independence.
One of the most important qualities is proprioception, i.e. the nervous system’s ability to “feel” the position and movement of the body in space, thanks to receptors in the muscles, tendons and joints. This is what allows us to maintain balance and stability, adapt our movements and quickly correct our posture. With advancing age (and with a sedentary lifestyle or previous injuries), this ability can diminish, increasing the risk of falls, sprains and overload.
For this reason, in our Longevity-oriented work, we include targeted and progressive exercises that train balance, stability and motor control, integrating them with strength and mobility. The goal is simple and measurable: greater confidence in movement, less pain, more independence and higher daily performance, today and in the years to come.
